Built following the course JStack. The highlights below are what I learned and built.

the problem

In a restaurant, an order written on paper gets lost between the floor and the kitchen, and the kitchen only learns about it when someone carries the slip over.

my role

Fullstack: API, kitchen dashboard and waiter app.

what i learned and built

1. A REST API in Node.js with Express and MongoDB (Mongoose), organised into use cases, with product image upload (Multer).
2. Real time with Socket.io, one way: an order placed in the waiter app shows up on the kitchen dashboard instantly, without reloading.
3. A kitchen dashboard in React with the status flow (waiting → in production → done) and order cancellation; status lives on the dashboard and isn't sent back to the waiter.
4. A waiter app in React Native (Expo): table, menu by category, cart and confirmation. Three apps in a single repository.
